Question
Question
Does the church laws say anything about the proper age when one can become a liturgical minister, like lector, usher, altar server?
--Aggravated in Angleton
Answer
Answer
In the documents on the liturgy, the universal church law does not regulate the age of liturgical ministers. These are regulated by diocesan law or local custom. Many dioceses state that a Extraordinary minister of Holy Communion must be completely initiated (baptized, confirmed and have receive their first Holy Communion).
