Are there regulations about having only a liturgical service in a marriage between a Catholic and non-Catholic, or is a full Mass ceremony an option?

There are regulations which you should talk over with the person who is preparing you and your spouse-to-be for marriage. A Mass is always an option for the Catholic party. However, most priests, wanting to be sensitive to the non-Catholic party and family, will strongly recommend that there not be a Mass. This helps the non-Catholic party, family and friends not attend something that they can not participate in, that being Holy Communion. As a sign of hospitality to them, enjoy the Rite of Marriage Outside of Mass.
