Question
I understand that Rite 3 of Confession is no longer valid. Do I have to go back and re-confess the sins that I did when I went to this rite when it was allowed?

Answer
Answer
The third rite of reconciliation is still valid and celebrate around the globe - it's still "on the books." While permission is needed in US diocese to be celebrated, unless there is an emergency (priests did not show up that were supposed to be present for rite 2,) it is done in many places due to the lack of priests. Those sins you confessed during this rite wereforgiven and do not need to be confessed again.
